The Invisible Interface of Cloud-Based AI SUperComputers

Imagine building, configuring, and managing an AI supercomputer from scratch. Not in a high-tech data center, but in a browser window. That’s the reality of Vela 2, IBM’s cloud-based AI supercomputing platform. As the sole Product Designer, I led the design from concept to launch, creating a scalable, intuitive UI that balances usability with advanced customization. By abstracting intricate configurations and reducing the risk of errors, I made the complexity invisible to the user for easy AI cluster management at scale.

Connecting external APPLICATIONS, The Right Way

Establishing secure cloud connections shouldn’t feel like navigating a maze. I led the design of Private Paths, redefining how customers connect external applications to secure services on IBM Cloud. Through iterative design, usability research, and deep collaboration with industry experts, I transformed a complex networking process into an integrated experience within IBM’s Virtual Private Cloud suite. From concept to launch, my work focused on removing friction, high security, and ensuring an intuitive solution that simplifies private connectivity for users in regulated industries.

Cloud Networking, Simple, Rewired and Ready

Virtual servers can’t just plug into the internet like your laptop—but what if they could? I redesigned the Virtual Network Interface (VNI) experience, turning cloud networking from a fragmented, highly technical process into an intuitive, seamless workflow. By eliminating unnecessary complexity, integrating real-time feedback, and reducing setup friction, I made it easier for users to connect servers instantly.

Visualizing Cloud Infrastructure with Dynamic Mapping

Similar to how a GPS helps people to navigate physical infrastructure, the IBM Cloud Infrastructure Visualizer maps out virtual network infrastructure and converts it into an interactive map.
